Ring that Bell!

The radiation department located on the lower level lack windows for natural lighting but the waiting areas are brightened up with beautiful soothing salt water aquariums:

There were so many different species of fish and live coral I had a hard time trying to choose which pictures to include out of all of the shots that I took.

Another item that we found of interest was this bell:

Yesterday I had the opportunity to witness this wonderful celebration with a lady who had completed her radiation treatments.

Today I had the honor to photograph and share in this happy event:

Posing with her very happy and proud parents this beautiful young lady celebrated her last treatment. What a moving and emotional moment!

Lots of blue skies, great sunshine and white puffy clouds. That cross is on the St. Joseph’s Professional Building located in downtown Houston. It’s always such an inspiration! The timing has to be just right for this photo. A few seconds sooner and you would be looking at McDonald’s Golden Arches right in front of it. Confused smile

We haven’t been able to figure out the traffic schedule yet and where are all of those people going?  It varies each minute, hour and day from this:

The Cowboy has now completed 3 radiation treatments and so far, so good.

We were a bit surprised how at ease we felt with the chemo session. I sat comfortably in the room with him, they supplied us both with heated blankets since the rooms tend to be cool. All of the staff were just so friendly and accommodating.

Another great service they provide for radiation patients is their valet parking.

Everyone is treated royally.

Our appointment time yesterday was at 4:10 PM which made our dinner a bit later but it consisted of most of the requirements for The Cowboy’s diet:

The shrimp for the protein, pasta for the carbs, recommended olive oil, some butter for flavor and lots of garlic – because we can! Could have added some bell peppers for fiber or any other veggies for variation.

We ended the evening with the movie Dolphin Tale with Harry Connick Jr., Ashley Judd, Kris Kristofferson & Morgan Freeman. Great movie and would highly recommend! It’s a classic, inspired by a true story, that I'm sure we will enjoy several more times.

Thank You again for stopping by. We are both so very grateful for all of your love and support that comes to us in so many ways.

  6. I do not leave a bunch of responses, but i did a few searching
and wound up here "Ring that Bell!". And I do have a few questions for
you if it's allright. Is it simply me or does it look like a few of the remarks appear as if they are left by brain dead individuals? :-P And, if you are posting on other online sites, I'd like to keep up with everything new you have to post.
Would you make a list of every one of all your communal sites
like your Facebook page, twitter feed, or linkedin profile?
