Happy Ending

A Winter Texan couple that had been reported as missing last week has been located safe and sound.

Family members reported 61-year-old Bruce Stewart and 65-year-old Linda Stewart as missing to Weslaco police last week.

The Canadian couple was supposed to be staying at an RV park in Weslaco but family members from Canada told police they hadn't heard from them in weeks.

Investigators told Action 4 News that the couple had been staying at Falcon Lake State Park.

The couple came into the Roma Police Department to speak to authorities.

They had been safe and sound the whole time.

The couple told police that they didn't even know that they had been reported as missing.

  1. This is one thing many people don't think of is letting their loved ones know where they are. We call this a blog but it is a ledger, or log, or Diary, but it is a communication tool to let everyone know we are Okay. Sometimes we are so caught up in what we are doing that we fail to let people know what we up to.

Even though we are the parents in the relationship many times the children feel it is their obligation to look out for us. We didn't ask for it but somewhere there was a role reversal.

Before any trip Kathy gives the kids an Itinerary of our plans and now since we just created our blog they are learning to relax a bit because they always know what Mom and Dad are up to and that we are Okay.

    It's about time.

  2. So glad to hear they are safe. Very scary. Our son always knows where we are. Just a quick text or e-mail with current location or travel plans. We have the two dogs that I worry about so I want to be sure he knows where they are and can come get them.
