That cute little reindeer actually rocks back and forth in the rocking chair while singing ‘Grandma got run over by a reindeer’. Too cute!
Another gift from The Cowboy!
Someone dumped Christmas all over our motorhome! The Cowboy enjoying his Kindle Fire and I was spoiled again this year.
What can I say?
We exchanged our gifts on Christmas Eve. We had plans to join friends for dinner the next day so we wanted time to play with our new stuff!
Both The Cowboy and I remember our childhood Christmas mornings. Excitedly unwrapping our gifts and anxious to play with our new toys when our parents would announce “Okay kids! Time to go to Grandma’s!”
A whole new Amusement Park area has been added this year to the Festival of Lights at Hidalgo. Lots of wonderful colors.
Enjoying New Years Eve with our Canadian friends Jack and Bonnie Whyte.
Bonnie prepared a wonderful meal. The traditional southern dinner of Hoppin’ John (Black eyed peas for luck in the new year) served on rice with a nice green salad.
Bonnie is on medication and hasn’t been able to enjoy a glass of wine for quite a while.
But here she is just smelling mine. (Yeah! And they think I have a problem??)
Hello to 2012 – Bring it on!
Much to our delight, back in our park, our neighbor had been asked to play Auld Lang Syne at midnight on his tuba! It was a great compliment to all of the fireworks booming away down here. These people take their fireworks way too seriously
New Years Day dinner with the usual crazy friends.
Here’s Dwight, again the gentleman. He always sits and watches the ladies purses while the rest of us make a mad dash, tripping over ourselves and scramble to the buffet tables to load up our plates.
Don’t let that bashful look fool you either!
While we miss our families and friends back home terribly, especially at this time of year, we are so very grateful for our family of friends here in Texas!
Happy New Year to you. Sounds like its off to a great start. Keep it up.
